A Major Update to a Sin City Icon

Back

project overview

You don’t demolish a Las Vegas landmark. You reinvent it. When the Stratosphere hotel, casino, and skypod decided to give itself a complete makeover, an updated, more sleek and modern website was in order.

The Challenge

This project began with a static mock-up, which introduces new challenges when translating it into a dynamic prototype and a smooth front-end experience for the user. Relying too much on the mock-up could’ve potentially led to a flat and boring website. Additionally, there was added difficulty when optimizing the design to make it tablet- and mobile-friendly.

The Solution

To really bring their website design to life, we utilized animations to catch the users’ eyes, encourage them to continue scrolling, and keep them on the page longer. Adlava conducted extensive QA testing to guarantee that the user experience would be enjoyable and easy across all devices.

Project Highlights

The Strat came to us with a static PDF mockup. While the mockup looked nice, I felt the need to create something more engaging. After all, this was the grand unveiling of an iconic Las Vegas hotel's renovation. Using slide-ins and quirky animation movements, as well as a catchy introduction animation, I was able to add more character to the landing page that could contribute to the audience's excitement.
