The Challenge
The Nevada State College campus boasts a vibrant, diverse culture, but their website did not reflect this. Additionally, the user experience suffered from a lack of content organization, making it difficult for students, parents, and prospective students to find the content they needed.
The Solution
After an in-depth analysis of the website content and user types (students, parents, prospective students, etc.), Adlava worked to organize and simplify the content navigation and display. By adding features like breadcrumbs and an easy-to-use interface, we were able to provide a better web experience for students that was easy for NSC team members to update and manage.
Project Highlights
The challenge for this particular project was reorganizing the information and changing the navigation structure to help the user quickly find what they’re looking for. The old site had a navigation that would change every time the user went to a new section so it made it difficult for the user to figure out where they are or how they get back to the previous section. By simplifying the site structure, creating one main navigation, and adding breadcrumbs to the new site we were able to remedy that problem.
